Defibrillator

Feltwell Parish Council purchased a defibrillator back in 2017 and it can be found on the outside wall of The Londis at 2 High Street after Mrs Sawjeevvijay kindly permitted for it to be housed on her premises.

A defibrillator is a device that gives a high energy electric shock to the heart through the chest wall to someone who is in cardiac arrest.  It is a fully mobile unit, kept inside a heated cabinet to ensure that it is kept in full working order.  No formal training is necessary for using this device as once it is removed from the cabinet, full instructions are given, both spoken and with diagrams.
